4th of July Rules & Safety

More pets go missing during the 4th of July week than any other time of year.  Noisy fireworks and other celebrations can be frightening to pets, causing them to run away. During the festivities, make sure your pet(s) are secure in a quiet area.

If your holiday celebration includes fireworks, please be sure to know which are legal or not and the best ways to handle them. Aerial fireworks are illegal in Idaho, although you can purchase them legally in the state. Aerial fireworks have a risk of starting wildfires and causing injuries. We don’t want any accidents in the community, so please use extreme caution and follow these TIPS. Be sure to clean up after yourselves. Even safe and sane fireworks can leave messes in yards and streets. Be sure to appropriately soak and dispose of any messes. Common areas may not be used to light off fireworks. Also, please be aware that neighbors and animals may not all like fireworks, so keep to reasonable timing. We greatly appreciate everyone’s consideration, and hope you have a very safe and enjoyable holiday!

Important Pool Reminders

Residents are urged to promptly report any biological incidents observed at the pool to our office at 208-378-4000. Immediate notification ensures timely remedial action and a quicker re-opening. For emergencies after hours, contact 208-860-7626.

RV Reminder

As the season takes off, please ensure your RV, camper or trailer does not obstruct sidewalks during loading or unloading.  Obstructing the sidewalk poses significant safety risks to pedestrians, cyclists, scooters, etc. potentially leading to accidents or injuries. RVs, campers and trailers are permitted for 24 hours during loading and unloading.

ACC Reminder

To maintain community esthetics and harmonious design, an Architectural Control Committee (ACC) request must be submitted for any exterior modifications or improvements, including fencing. You can submit an ACC online. The link is provided below:

Tree & Shrub Maintenance

The Lilac borer, also known as the ash borer, is a moth prevalent in Idaho during this season. This pest poses a threat to trees and other plants, by boring into the wood, which can lead to structural damage and potentially kill the trees if left unchecked. Preventative maintenance such as pruning and spraying will prevent an infestation.

Lawn Maintenance

During a recent inspection of the community, numerous lawns were observed with weed infestations, dry patches and overgrown. Proactively treating your lawn will hinder weed germination, preventing the weeds from spreading to neighboring properties and shared community spaces.
